Learn to Cruise - Intermediate Cruising Instructor
 
		Intermediate Cruising Instructor candidates will be evaluated on ability to plan and teach a selection of performance objectives from the Ashore Knowledge section of the Intermediate Standard.
Prerequisites:
    
        - Be 19 years of age or older; 
 
        - Be currently registered as a CYA Basic Cruising instructor and have at least one season and a minimum of 150 hours logged as a CYA Basic Instructor; 
 
        - Have completed the Advanced Student Standard; 
 
        - Have a restricted radiotelephone operator's certificate - maritime voluntary; 
 
        - Have logged cruising time of 17 days as skipper, minimum 3 days at a time; 
 
        - Have achieved 90% on the Coastal Navigation and Intermediate Standard examinations in the preceding six months; 
 
        - Have a current nationally recognized certificate in CPR level "B"; 
 
        - Have a current Red Cross or St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid or a nationally recognized equivalent certificate; and 
 
        - Have Spark START or equivalent PCOC card.
