Training - Instructing
The Canadian Yachting Association Instructor Development Program is one of the most highly regarded instructor training programs in the world. Certified instructors are in high demand across Canada and around the world.
CYA offers programs for instructors wishing to teach:

Benefits to becoming a CYA Instructor
Some of the benefits CYA certified instructors receive are:
- liability insurance coverage of $2 million under CYA's Instructor Liability Insurance Policy;
- ability to award CYA certification levels;
- posting of current instructor/coach levels and email address to CYA's website, which allows you to be contacted by potential employers;
- eligiblity to attend provincial and national clinics;
- 15% discount on all CYA/CST clothing; and
- access to training resources.
