Description: This is the first of the Canadian Yachting Association’s progression of Learn-to-Sail programs.  The White Sail programs are taught in a variety of boats, depending on availability at the club or school, including 420s, Laser 2s and Pirates.  The curriculum includes water safety, basic sailing concepts such as sail trim, points of sail, tacking and gibing, and theory including boat parts and wind direction.
