The British Columbia Sailing Team is comprised of athletes from various one-design fleets who intend to compete at inter-provincial, national and international events.  Members of this team have access to provincial coaches, funding and other support provided by BC Sailing and other organizations.   Athletes on the BC Team must be working towards status on the National Sport Centre Team, Canadian Youth Sailing Team and eventually the Canadian Sailing Team in Olympic Classes.
