Sailors from BC are some of the best in the country.  BC sailing strongly encourages and supports its developing young sailors through various teams and events.  Sailors on the teams race in one-design boats, including Optimists, Radials, Lasers, 420s, 29ers, 49ers and RS:X Boards.  Sailors on teams other than the Provincial Team typically race in Olympic classes or boats considered a development class for the Olympic classes.  BC Sailing also strongly supports CYA's Women In Wind initiative.
